The Avaline^® Graduate Diploma in Business Management is intensive one-year Pre-Masters course designed to provide international students with the best possible preparation for postgraduate studies at leading UK universities. It is brought to you by Avaline Assessment & Qualifications as part of United Education® Group

The three core Module are related to the candidates chosen field of study in higher education, supporting subject’s help candidates develop essential practical skills and prepare for their higher education.

External assurance and moderation has been established with University of Huddersfield and Avaline has modelled its operations and benchmarked them against UK-based examination boards and the demands set by the regulator.

Objectives of the Programme include:

• Improve the students’ ability to communicate in English across all 4 language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking, and to make the students master the method and skills for passing IELTS.
• Provide to the students intensive exposures to business and management knowledge, helping them to learn how to understand the business situations, identify the key successful factors, analyze the problems and propose alternative solutions. The students’ decision-making and problem-solving skills in a business context are thus being developed. Their knowledge base is also expanded, making their further business study easier and more comprehensive.
• Arouse the interests of the students in pursuing advanced study and a career path in business and management, and help them to build confidence in academic development and to become highly adaptive to overseas study setting.
• Help the students to develop necessary academic learning skills and to be well prepared academically for postgraduate courses in business.

Programme Specification

Matriculation

AVALINE^® GRADUATE DIPLOMA ( Pre-Master ) consists of a combination of written examinations and coursework. Courses commence in September and conclude by June/July. Our AVALINE GRADUATE DIPLOMA pass grades are A*, A, B, C and D.

The course carries a total of 100 credit (100%) each module.  The overall minimum number of points required is 50 credit (50%).

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be awarded an Avaline School Certificate of Achievement entitled AVALINE^® GRADUATE DIPLOMA. This will display the final grade for each subject and provide a final overall grading. It will be signed by the Principal of the Avaline College and External Examiner.

Entry Requirements

Candidates for admission should hold the following:

• IELTS 5.0 or above;
• Three-year Chinese diploma / certificate graduates (awarded HE certificate diploma equivalent Level 5), SQA HND graduates or Bachelors in China;
• Students should have at least achieved an average grade 70% of their three- year diploma / certificate in China.
